Mr. ISHII received his Ph. D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Tokyo and is the president of Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE). He is also the chairman of CTI Engineering Co., Ltd., a national member of the Executive Council of World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), and the executive director of Japan River Association (JRA).
Since 1960, Mr. Ishii has consulted for various projects specializing in river and water resources management. In 1976 he introduced ¡°Shinsui: Water Amenity¡± a very innovative technology in Japan.
   
   
 

Mr. Jones received his Masters in Landscape Architecture at Harvard¡¯s School of Design, and is the cofounder of Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects, Ltd. He is a member of FASLA, and Jones & Jones has received various awards including the first ever Firm Award by the ASLA. Having held academic positions at numerous universities, Mr. Jones was recently appointed Affiliate Professor in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Washington.

   
   
   
 
Mr. Machado received his Master of Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley where he continued doctoral studies in Architectural Theory. He is a professor of Architecture & Urban Design at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and chair of the Department of Urban Planning & Design. He has won numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects, the Boston Society of Architects, the New England Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, to name a few. Mr. Machado has served as a juror for a number of national and international competitions and prizes.
   
   
   
 
Mme. Mortamais received her Architect D.P.L.G. (Diplome Par Le Gouvernement) and Landscape- Architect D.P.L.G, as well as her Doctorate in Sciences of Information and Communication at Ecole nationale Superieure d'Architecture de Paris Val de Seine (ENSAPVS), where she has been teaching since 1984. She is also an advisor for the Ministere de l¡¯environnement et du developpement durable. Among her many accolades are 32 winning or awarded projects in competitions, half of which were in architecture and the other in landscape architecture.
   
   
   
 

Mr. Yager received his Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota, and is a vice president of Planning and Urban Design of RTKL. He is also the director of the Urban Design and Master Planning Studio at RTKL Shanghai, anda member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as well as the Urban Land Institute. His areas of expertise include urban design and master planning of mixed-use, new community, urban, and suburban development projects, and design and master planning of large-scale retail, office, medical, and conference developments.
